$_12.JPG?set_id=880000500F。This 1930s\' tilt hat is made of intricately knitted/woven black cording. It consists of a crown in the shape of a doughnut. At the front top there are two beautiful sprays of feathers...one is pink, and the other in blue-gray color. There is a strap made of the same cording, to hold the hat in a tilted position. Tilt hats were popular in the 1930s and 1940s. They were worn at an angle and held to the back of the head by a strap, rigid ring, elastic band beneath the hair, or a combination of these. Label: BETMAR This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age. Mannequin not for sale.
