The label with \"London, New York\" likely indicates that the hat was sold at their London Bond Street store (opened in 1891) and potentially marketed in New York. Fenwick stores have historically been known for luxury goods and fashion, so this vintage hat is a product from their clothing or accessories department. Vintage-style brown straw hat, often referred to as a sun hat or wide-brim hat, with a ribbon and bow accent. The specific style, with a wide brim and ribbon band, is common among vintage and modern sun hats and can be made from various materials like natural straw, raffia, or paper yarn. Hat Details Material: It appears to be made of a natural, open-weave straw or raffia. Design: The hat features a wide, slightly floppy or structured brim and is trimmed with a matching brown or tan ribbon tied into a bow at the front/side. The open weave suggests it is lightweight and breathable. Style/Era: Similar styles have been popular across different eras, including the 1940s and 1970s, as well as modern reproductions. It is a classic accessory for summer, garden parties, or beach outings. The closest design online that I could find was a 1930s Woven Straw Sun Hat. The chin strap appears to have been sewn on. The size tag of 22\" fell off as I was taking pics. Gorgeous! Excellent Pre-owned condition Non-smoking home
